I have a solo practice based in West Seattle, where I have lived for more than 25 years. My practice focuses on business law and the needs of business owners.

My prior work experience gives me useful insight into the needs of business owners, having worked in a variety of small businesses including restaurants, a personal services business, veterinary clinics, and nonprofit organizations.

I grew up in Massachusetts, and graduated with a degree in English from Middlebury College in Vermont. After a summer of working two jobs on Cape Cod, I hopped on I-90 in Boston and drove across the country to Seattle. I graduated from the University of Washington School of Law in 1991, and settled down in the wonderful small-town-within-a-city that is West Seattle.   

I have had a lifelong passion for animals, and have worked as a veterinary assistant, a dog walker, and a volunteer keeper assistant at the Woodland Park Zoo, as well as serving as a Woodland Park Zoo docent and a volunteer with Animal Services of King County. In addition, I live with an ever-shifting menagerie that currently includes a cuddly Pit Bull and an ancient tuxedo cat. I have two fabulous grown kids, and enjoy close relationships with my extended family, who have all migrated to West Seattle over the years.
